The likes of Google and ChatGPT are stirring mass fear among medical professionals

Google receives one billion health questions each day – the equivalent of 70,000 people every minute avoiding real medical advice. Lack of support and resources are the result of this (and most people do it), turning to the likes of Google and ChatGPT to help answer health conditions and symptoms.

These systems are not approved as medical devices. ChatGPT sparks even more fear as it is built on technology which tries to guess the answer, and can sometimes hallucinate, meaning it can confidently give users the wrong answer.

Without changing people’s habits, it is easier in our minds to build a solution that is medically certified and leads people to the help they need – that is what NorHealth is working on.
